Aeroforge Welcomes Back Michelle Maiura 23 Years Later

At Aeroforge, we pride ourselves in the diversity of our team. We have team members who are young and vibrant, and learning the ropes from our more seasoned team members. We also have team members who have been with us more than 30 years. They are incredibly talented and knowledgeable at their craft. They’ve seen a lot of growth and change in their time from how orders are processed now to the music played throughout the company.

That is exactly the case with Michelle Maiura.

When Michelle joined our company in 1989 at the age of 18, several things were different then. Besides the big hair and 90s grunge music, we used to be called Air Spares. Our headquarters building was based out of downtown Tacoma. Now we are in Puyallup – roughly 15 minutes away. Michelle was hired as a receptionist but quickly learned about sales, accounting and customer service during her time with us.

Michelle was hired by our CEO Evan Brown’s father, Steve who previously ran the company before he retired. In 2001, Michelle stepped down from her job to raise her children. Now that her children are grown, she’s wanted to return to the company she worked at when she was a teenager. Michelle has professional experience in the aviation and engineering sector. Earlier this month, she was invited back to join the Aeroforge team working in the sales department. Michelle is a wealth of knowledge, and we are ecstatic to have her with us.

“A lot has changed in terms of the advanced technology we use for production and accounts payable,” said Michelle. “But all the things I used to love about Aeroforge are the same. This is an incredible place to work and grow. I am thrilled to be returning to my Aeroforge family.”

Even from a young age, Michelle recalls being fascinated with airplanes and their parts.

“My dad served in the U.S. Air Force and worked on aircraft,” said Michelle. It seems only fitting she continues in his footsteps and the decades of experiences she brings to the table.

Please join us in welcoming (again) Michelle to the Aeroforge team!
