Safety is not just something we slap onto our values as an organization. It’s who we are and what we stand for. Aeroforge’s continued emphasis on workplace safety and employee training allows us to remain recognized in the aerospace tooling industry and why we pride ourselves in being an employer of choice for our Puyallup community.
Last month, seven our team members participated in a CPR/First Aid certification course through our partners at Central Pierce Fire and Rescue. Aeroforge also participated in a Tactical Casualty Care course by Crisis Medicine out of Portland, Oregon. This training focuses on bleeding control in high stress situations. Team members practiced applying pressure to fake wounds, learned how to correctly apply a tourniquet, and practiced other bleeding control methods.
After this training Aeroforge procured an additional AED and a bleeding control kit to have on site. We hope we never have to use these skills in the workplace, but in the event something does happens, our team is prepared and trained to handle the situation until more experienced medical professionals arrive on scene.
