FAMILY

I have four kids (Mollie 13, Megan 11, Elliott 7, Louella 7 mo) and a lovely wife named Shannon.  She is a first grade teacher.  We live in Edgewood, WA with our chickens, bees, and cats.  When we leave the homestead we enjoy road trips to experience different towns, hiking/outdoorsy stuff, and going to the theater.

THREE RANDOM QUESTIONS

What is something you would love to learn about?

Woodworking. I like to make things and have always been interested in carpentry. I grew up watching Norm Abram on the TV show, New Yankee Workshop. What he makes looks awesome and inspiring.

What is something you still want to do but haven't had the chance yet?

I would love to build a house from scratch. Starting from the foundation up and do it all myself. I would probably start with a tiny house, since it would be a lot of work. The house I have now was built in 1926, so it is a fixer upper and I have been doing most of the work myself. Because of this, I have recently been really interested in building my own house!

What is the best advise you have ever been given?

When it comes to the shop and shop type things, my best friend Shaun told me that, “a clean part is a working part.” I use that advise in pretty much everything I do.
In life, I would say the verse “A man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps” (Proverbs 16:9) is the best advise. This has very much been the story of my life.
